Job Description

The incumbent will be expected safeguard custody cash received,processing withdrawal transactions, and handling telegraphic transfers.
Key Responsibilities
Receive cash or payment in any other authorized modes
from customers.
Reconcile cash / credit receipts with sales figures and
prepare daily cash summary report for submission to Back
Office Team Leader.
Respond to customer queries, offer efficient customer
service and enhance the company’s image.
Keep count of customer traffic in to the branch and compile
relevant information on a daily basis.
Deposit the cash/ cheques in the bank every day with a view
to carefully protect the company and customer funds.
Process and issue receipts for income from all sources
received in the cash office checking that cash cheques and
debit/credit card entries are correct
Key Requirements for this role
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Studies,
Marketing or related field.
Minimum 1 year as a cashier in a banking environment or
similar.
Bookkeeping experience.
Knowledge of Payment and Collections methods.
Experience of Bank Statements.
Understanding of Payment and Collection
methodologies.
Credit control and management experience.
Cash book and bank reconciliation understanding.
