Applications are invited from suitably and self-motivated, energetic, dynamic, confident, results driven and innovative qualified persons for the below post tenable at Makoro Brick & Tile Plant in Palapye.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide hands on general maintenance/management and engine overhaul of the Company fleet, machines and trucks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
O level plus National Trade Certificate/NCC in Motor Mechanics
• 10 years’ experience as Diesel/Fitter/ Mechanical Foreman in a Manufacturing/Mining or Heavy plant industry.
•Extensive knowledge of hydraulics, gear boxes, pneumatics and heavy-duty diesel engines.
•Manages the general maintenance of all the equipment and machines.
• Coordination, planning and scheduling with other departments i.e., production department to ensure timely availability of maintained machinery to enable them achieve production targets.
• Coordinate maintenance of machinery and vehicles with other departments to enable smooth operations.
• Supervises staff and give technical advise on machines/truck breakdowns, ensuring their availability throughout the month.
• Coordinate the stock levels of all spares for both yellow machines and trucks.
• Schedule both preventative and predictive maintenance.
-Driving stability, cost reduction and systemic improvement of the workshop operations.
