Job Description

VACANCY NO: FM/TD02/2023
Duties: 
the successful candidate is expected to: (i) Enter the reported positive cases in the REDCap recruitment tracker and recruited patients in the REDCap database (ii) Work with the laboratory manager to review and sort out cases using REDCap. (iii) Maintain and review REDCap recruitment tracker to facilitate randomization of patients by the study principal investigators (PI). (iv) Generate weekly reports on the cases entered in the database and contacted and update the project manager, study coordinator and PIs as needed. (v) Perform data cleaning and quality checks both in the CRFs and REDCap regularly. (vi) Assist the recruitment officer or other study team members as needed (vii) Any other tasks deemed necessary by the supervisor and or study team.
Requirements: 
applicants should hold a (i) Certificate in computer studies and/or equivalent experience (ii) Diploma will be an added advantage. iii) Must have accurate data entry skills. iv) Must be able to complete ethics training upon hiring
Experience: i)
 at least a minimum of two (2) years working as a data entry officer in health-related research/projects/studies. ii) at least two (2) years’ experience in entering data and maintaining databases.
Competencies: 
the candidate will be required to perform the duties outlined above with the use of clinical research ethics and adherence to study protocol. Must be well organized, excellent planning skills, good communication and people skills.
